Submitting articles to Ecos
ECOS is a not-for-profit magazine, publishing high-quality articles by experienced journalists and commentators for a national audience. Stories have a direct relevance and an interesting angle on aspects of the emerging sustainability field, and often explain the relevance of research.
If you have story ideas, please email a short synopsis of the article idea(s) that includes:
- the important angles,
- relevance to readership and the sustainability subject,
- outline of people involved, and probable interviewees,
- any relevant picture or diagram ideas,
- what inspires you about the article,
- your qualifications and background.
The editors will then discuss and approve the ideas with you, and set word limits and a deadline for a draft. On receipt of the final draft, and in the process of copy editing the article, the editors may alter the final submitted text (major changes are relayed) to suit the magazine style. ECOS reserves the right not to publish any article. Receiving a draft of the article will not guarantee that the article will be published - changing editorial priorities often affect the publication date and status of articles.
